€22 Million investment to accelerate the deployment of LiDAR across all industries
The round was co-led by Energy Innovation Capital (EIC) and the Defense Innovation Fund managed by Bpifrance, alongside Groupe ADP and historical investors BNP Paribas, SPDG, Demeter, Safran, and Faurecia.
The funding underscores the growing significance of software integration in the quickly developing field of LiDAR beyond self-driving cars.
The most crucial aspect is that this funding will allow us to better support and grow alongside our clients everywhere in the world, enhance our existing solutions, and develop brand-new solutions.
We never stop adding new features and making existing ones to be even easier and faster to use.
An even easier way to create maps
Since last month edition, we've make good progress towards more autonomy and simplicity in the creation of Reference Maps.
You don't need external tools like CloudCompare and it is now possible to modify the origin of a Reference Map directly in Augmented Studio.
Automated Geo-Referencing
Generation of geo-referenced maps is now the default behaviour when using a PCAP including GPS data.
This is a great opportunity to fully benefit from another GPS related feature: the ability to compute a geographic pose, output from the relocalization processing.
We introduced many other improvements, that could seem small at first glance but are important for our customers. Among them:
COMPUTED GPS POSE
Now you have a virtual GPS at your fingertips, even in tunnels.
UP TO 25% FASTER MAPS
Map generation is now between 10% and 25% faster depending on size.
DIVERGENCE INDICATOR
A new indicator appears on Augmented Studio in order to warn you when the Relocalization algorithm has diverged.
BACKUP & RESTORE IN UI
Backup and Restore commands, introduced as API endpoints in version 5.5.0 are now directly accessible in the Settings panel.
Every year, thousands of construction workers are injured as a result of hazardous working conditions. As an illustration, whereas only 6 percent of American workers are employed in the construction industry, this industry accounts for over 20 percent of worker fatalities nationwide.
When it comes to the incorporation of cutting-edge digital technologies, the shipping sector is up against increasingly challenging difficulties.
The need for higher safety, decreased costs, and improved utilization of human resources is the primary factor driving this change in the maritime industry.
See you in Barcelona! We'll be demonstrating in live how LiDAR-based solutions can be used for making cities smarter and safer.
We attended INTERGEO and Robobusiness, as well as several Engineering students' events where we could share how our technology works [École Centrale, Eurecom, Écoles des Mines and ENSTA]
